It is RHEINZINK's goal to develop products at a maximum quality level, using processes, which are both economically and ecologically compatible, and that not only show a high measure of service and efficiency, but also have as little impact on the environment as possible throughout their entire life cycle.

Environmental protection has long been part of RHEINZINK's philosophy of quality. In order to inform the consumer as comprehensively and objectively as possible about the properties of materials, RHEINZINK subjects its products to voluntary inspections and to continuous independent testing.

In August 1999, after comprehensive evaluation of the entire life cycle of the product, from extraction of raw material, processing, use and recycling,  RHEINZINK was certified by the Board of the AUB (Association for Environmentally Proofed Building Products) as an environmentally friendly building product.

Setting standards

A new measure of quality is the QUALITY ZINC label. Products which comply with the strict requirements of the Inspection Criteria Catalogue are labelled QUALITY ZINC. With the QUALITY ZINC label, awarded by TUV Rheinland/Berlin/Brandenburg, and certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, RHEINZINK meets the the highest quality criteria.

Through a documented management system equally valid for quality and environmental protection and the procedures determined therein, RHEINZINK guarantees compliance with environmental laws, the successful realization of its own environmental policy standards as well as all necessary measures for control and correction.

Participation in the quality and environmental management system is a challenge, which RHEINZINK wants to set for itself without compromise.
